Izzy’s journey is a powerful story of strength, courage, and hope. After being diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, she endured chemotherapy, radiation, and the many challenges of a difficult battle at such a young age. Through it all, Izzy remained incredibly strong backed by her family, our foundation and a supportive community. Today at the age of 12 we are overjoyed to share that she has recovered completely, has no signs of cancer, and is back at school with her friends. We will continue to offer help while she is being monitored and regains her strength.

We are helping an individual who devoted nearly 30 years to caring for others as a nurse within the Danbury Hospital network. Now unable to work and after months of worsening symptoms, numerous tests, and an initial misdiagnosis, she was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive spinal cord cancer called gliosarcoma. She is now paralyzed from the chest down and requires ongoing chemotherapy, rehabilitation, and extensive home accommodations, including a wheelchair, hospital bed, Hoyer lift, ramps, wider doorways, an accessible bathroom, and continued therapy. Her family is rallying around her and our foundation is pitching in where we are most needed.
